Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Retail Banker to join our dynamic team in Kingston, Jamaica. As a Retail Banker, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued personal banking customers, playing a crucial role in building lasting relationships and providing tailored financial solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively with customers to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate Scotiabank products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment solutions.
- Achieve assigned individual and branch sales targets for various banking products, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the branch.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and processing transactions efficiently and accurately while adhering to all banking regulations and policies.
- Educate customers on digital banking platforms and self-service options, empowering them to manage their finances conveniently.
- Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships by cross-selling and up-selling relevant products and services, acting as a trusted financial advisor.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Scotiabank products, services, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to customers.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and regulatory compliance understanding.
- Collaborate with branch team members to foster a positive work environment and contribute to overall branch success and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the financial services or retail industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Jamaican banking regulations and financial market dynamics.
- Experience with banking software and CRM systems.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
