Access Bank Plc is seeking a highly vigilant and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bank Security – Premises Surveillance Officer for the night shift at our Iyana Ipaja branch. In this critical role, you will be the frontline guardian of our assets, premises, and the safety of our operations during non-banking hours. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the absolute security of the bank’s property, funds, and information through proactive surveillance and rapid response to potential threats. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance of bank premises through CCTV monitoring and regular physical patrols during the entire night shift.
- Proactively identify and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or potential threats to the appropriate authorities and internal management.
- Control access points to the bank premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel or emergency services enter during non-banking hours.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily logs of all surveillance activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.
- Ensure all security equipment, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access controls, are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
- Implement and enforce all bank security policies and procedures to safeguard assets and personnel.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or emergency situations.
- Provide clear and concise handovers to the morning shift security personnel, detailing any critical information or ongoing issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security operations, preferably within a banking or high-security environment.
- Excellent observational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and incident management.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency for operating surveillance systems.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to security.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND/BSc in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
