Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a dedicated portfolio of corporate and/or SME clients, fostering long-term relationships.
- Proactively identify client needs and cross-sell appropriate banking products and services, including loans, deposits, trade finance, treasury solutions, and digital banking platforms.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments to structure appropriate credit facilities and ensure sound lending decisions.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and present them to relevant approval committees.
- Monitor client accounts, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries and banking needs.
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and inform product innovation.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as Credit, Operations, Treasury, and Product Development to deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client visits, to expand the bank's client base.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in relationship management, sales, or business development within the banking or financial services sector
- Strong understanding of banking products, services, and financial markets
- Demonstrated ability to acquire, retain, and grow client portfolios
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Kinyarwanda
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer-centricity
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Professional certification in banking or finance (e.g., ACI, ACCA, CPA, CFA)
- Experience with specific client segments (e.g., Corporate Banking, SME Banking)
- Fluency in French is an added advantage
- Proven track record of exceeding aggressive sales targets in a competitive environment
