Job Description

Access Bank PLC is seeking a diligent and highly organised Bank Office Staff member with a focus on Filing and Support to join our team in Oyingbo, Yaba. This crucial full-time role is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining accurate and accessible records. As a Bank Office Staff member, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our branch’s administrative functions. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing physical and digital documentation, ensuring proper categorisation, retrieval, and archiving. You will play a vital role in upholding our high standards of record-keeping, which is fundamental to our compliance, customer service, and operational efficiency. Beyond filing, this role involves providing essential administrative support to various departments within the branch, including managing office supplies, handling internal communication, and assisting with data entry tasks. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of working independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment. This position offers a valuable entry point into the banking sector for individuals eager to develop their professional skills in a reputable and forward-thinking organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately file and retrieve physical and digital documents, ensuring all records are systematically organised and easily accessible.
  • Perform data entry tasks with precision and speed, updating customer and operational databases as required.
  • Manage and maintain the branch's filing systems, including creating new files, archiving old ones, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of internal reports, memos, and correspondence.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and deliveries for the branch.
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure continuous availability.
  • Provide general administrative support to various teams, including photocopying, scanning, and managing schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the bank's confidentiality protocols and data protection policies.
  • Assist with customer inquiries by directing them to the appropriate department or staff member when necessary.
  • Support branch operations by assisting with ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager or supervisory staff.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift and move document boxes or files (within reasonable limits)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field
  • Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a clerical, administrative, or office support role, preferably within a banking or financial services environment
  • Familiarity with banking terminologies and operational procedures
  • Experience with document management systems (DMS) is a plus
