Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients, operate various bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers), and monitor baking processes.
- Ensure the consistency and quality of all baked items, including appearance, taste, and texture.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, equipment, and bakery area, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering and stock rotation.
- Decorate cakes and pastries as required, demonstrating artistic flair and attention to detail.
- Package and display baked goods attractively for sale, ensuring proper labeling and pricing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely production.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a bakery or supermarket environment.
- Solid understanding of baking principles, techniques, and recipes.
- Ability to operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality baked goods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients.
