Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services using Node.js and Java.
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs to support various frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define feature specifications and technical requirements.
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions and preventative measures.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future of our backend infrastructure.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our development processes and tools.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS).
- Strong proficiency in Java (with frameworks like Spring Boot).
- Demonstrable experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
