Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys, accurately measuring and assessing locations for awning installations.
- Install a variety of awning types, including retractable, fixed, and bespoke designs, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing, seamlessly integrating with the property's architecture.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on existing awning systems.
- Provide clear, professional demonstrations to clients on the operation and care of their new awnings.
- Maintain a clean and organised work vehicle and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Manage project timelines efficiently, communicating any potential delays to clients and management.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including installation reports and client sign-offs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in awning, blind, shutter, or similar outdoor structure installation.
- Strong practical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Excellent spatial awareness and ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
- Full UK driving license with a clean record.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade (e.g., carpentry, general construction).
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Experience working with various building materials and construction methods common in Bath properties.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring for motorised awning systems (basic level).
