Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) from initial concept through to production.
- Conduct engineering analysis, including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), to optimize designs for performance, durability, and cost.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for new and existing products.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned engineering tasks, ensuring timely delivery.
- Participate in virtual design reviews and provide expert technical input and recommendations.
- Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes to enhance product innovation.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive component design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX).
- Experience with CAE tools, including FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of automotive materials, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for virtual collaboration and technical documentation.
- Proven project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
