Key Responsibilities
- Execute audit engagements from planning to completion in accordance with professional standards and firm methodologies.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, transactions, and internal control systems to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or non-compliance.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate working papers and documentation to support audit findings.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to senior auditors and client management.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings and suggested improvements.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, auditing pronouncements, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of audit tasks and projects.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior audit staff.
- Participate in client meetings and build professional relationships.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP) and auditing standards (ISA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership or progress towards professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA
