Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our growing team in Kalba, Sharjah. This pivotal role involves supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Lead, motivate, and train a team of retail associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Drive sales performance and achieve store targets through effective merchandising, customer engagement, and promotional activities.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving inquiries, handling complaints, and maintaining high service standards.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock counts.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing and inviting store atmosphere.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Monitor and manage store expenses, ensuring profitability and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Act as the Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for store operations and team leadership.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a supervisory or management role within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fluent in English (Arabic is a strong advantage).
- Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including sales, merchandising, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software.
- Knowledge of local market trends and customer preferences in Kalba, Sharjah.
