Job Description
The University of Calabar’s Department of Computer Science is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Artificial Intelligence Researcher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our research capabilities in various AI domains. This involves conducting independent and collaborative research, publishing findings in reputable journals and conferences, and mentoring students. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in various AI areas, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
- Design, develop, and implement AI algorithms and models.
- Analyze and interpret research findings, preparing high-quality publications for submission to peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Present research results at conferences and workshops.
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external collaborators.

Required Skills
- Strong theoretical understanding of Artificial Intelligence principles and techniques.
