Job Description
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Architectural Designer with exceptional AutoCAD skills to join our dynamic team in Delft. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional passionate about crafting innovative and sustainable architectural solutions from concept through detailed design. As an Architectural Designer at Mecanoo, you will play a crucial role in developing design concepts, translating ideas into precise technical drawings, and contributing to the successful realization of diverse projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural design concepts from schematic design through construction documentation stages.
- Produce detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Collaborate with project architects and senior designers to integrate design intent and technical requirements.
- Assist in material selection, specification writing, and coordination with suppliers.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other project documentation for client meetings and internal reviews.
- Ensure all design work adheres to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Participate in design critiques and contribute to a collaborative studio environment.
- Coordinate with consulting engineers and other specialists to integrate their work into architectural designs.
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building technology
- Excellent graphic presentation and visualization skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
