Mas-Zaki Construction Nigeria Limited is seeking a talented and dedicated Architect to join our dynamic team in Malumfashi, Katsina. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of architectural projects from conception to completion, focusing on local building initiatives.
  • Conduct client consultations to understand project requirements, scope, and budget, translating needs into viable architectural solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents using CAD software and other relevant tools.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards pertinent to Katsina State and Nigeria.
  • Supervise construction activities on-site, providing expert guidance, resolving design-related issues, and ensuring adherence to design intent and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within financial parameters.
  • Research and recommend appropriate building materials and technologies, with an emphasis on local sourcing and sustainability.
  • Secure necessary approvals and permits from relevant local and state authorities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience as a practicing Architect, with a focus on building projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD).
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and material specifications applicable to Nigeria.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Membership in the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
  • Experience with sustainable design principles and green building practices.
  • Prior experience working on community development or public sector projects in rural or semi-urban Nigerian contexts.
  • Knowledge of local building materials and construction techniques prevalent in Katsina State.
