Key Responsibilities
- Assist master tailors with cutting fabrics, preparing patterns, and marking materials according to specifications.
- Learn and practice various sewing techniques using both hand and machine, ensuring high-quality stitches.
- Support in the assembly of garment components, including collars, sleeves, pockets, and waistbands.
- Perform basic alterations and repairs on existing garments as guided by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Shadow experienced tailors, observing and absorbing best practices in garment construction and client fitting sessions.
- Assist with quality control checks to ensure finished products meet Prince Nze Fashion Design's standards.
- Handle and categorize different types of fabrics and notions accurately.
