Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily feeding, watering, and administration of prescribed medications to animals under direct supervision.
- Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor animal behaviour and health, reporting any changes, concerns, or emergencies to senior staff immediately.
- Provide basic grooming, exercise, and enrichment activities to ensure the mental and physical well-being of animals.
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with restraining animals for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of animal feeding, medication, and general observations.
- Handle incoming and outgoing animals with care, ensuring proper documentation and safe transfer.
- Support the general upkeep of the facility, including laundry, stock rotation, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.
- Engage with the public respectfully, answering general inquiries and providing basic information regarding animal care when appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in animal care.
Required Skills
