Job Description
Data Science Nigeria is seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI Ethics Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the ethical development and deployment of AI systems within our organization and across our various projects. This involves proactively identifying and mitigating potential ethical risks and biases associated with AI technologies. You will work closely with our data scientists, engineers, and project managers to ensure that our AI solutions align with our ethical guidelines and societal values. This role demands a deep understanding of AI technologies, ethical frameworks, and regulatory landscapes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing ethical guidelines, conducting impact assessments, providing training, and engaging in stakeholder consultations. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of our ethical AI framework and strategy. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of conveying complex ethical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical guidelines for the design, development, and deployment of AI systems.
- Conduct regular ethical impact assessments of AI projects and initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders on ethical AI principles and best practices.
- Engage in stakeholder consultations to ensure that AI projects align with the values and needs of the community.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of DSN's ethical AI framework and strategy.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in AI ethics, regulations, and best practices.
- Conduct research and analysis on ethical challenges and opportunities related to AI.
- Prepare reports and presentations on AI ethical issues for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with external organizations and stakeholders to promote ethical AI practices.
- Address and resolve ethical concerns and challenges that may arise during the lifecycle of AI projects.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of AI technologies and their potential societal impacts.
- Proficiency in ethical frameworks and principles related to AI.
- Familiarity with relevant AI regulations and guidelines.
