Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agronomist (Consultant) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal remote role will provide expert agronomic advice and support to our farming operations and potentially our network of growers within the Onseepkans and broader Northern Cape region. As a Remote Agronomist Consultant, you will be instrumental in optimizing crop production, enhancing soil health, and implementing sustainable agricultural practices across a diverse range of crops. Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote expert agronomic consultation and technical support to farm managers and growers.

- Develop and recommend tailored crop nutrition programs, pest and disease management strategies, and irrigation schedules.
- Analyze soil, water, and plant tissue sample results to inform strategic recommendations.
- Monitor crop performance and environmental conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of precision agriculture technologies and data analytics tools.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings, recommendations, and predicted outcomes.
- Stay abreast of the latest agronomic research, technologies, and sustainable farming practices.
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to farm personnel on best agronomic practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align agronomic strategies with overall business objectives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Agronomist or Agricultural Consultant
- In-depth knowledge of crop production, soil science, plant nutrition, and integrated pest management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation for agricultural applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a remote workload.
- Familiarity with agricultural software and remote sensing technologies.
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site visits if required (travel expenses covered).
