Key Responsibilities

- Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and relevant financial regulations and legislative frameworks.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives and community engagement to expand the agricultural client base and enhance brand presence.
- Prepare detailed, well-reasoned credit proposals and present them confidently to credit committees.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of agricultural industry developments, technological advancements, and macroeconomic factors affecting the sector.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as an Agricultural Loan Officer or similar credit-focused role in financial services.
- Strong understanding of agricultural business models, including crop cycles, livestock management, and associated inherent risks.
- Excellent financial analysis, credit assessment, and robust risk management skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, loan structuring, and cash flow analysis specific to agricultural operations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a remote client portfolio effectively, and demonstrate strong self-motivation.
- High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and a client-centric approach.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally within the Free State region for essential client visits when necessary.
