Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple Agile development teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with Product Owners to define and refine product backlogs, ensuring clear and actionable user stories aligned with business goals.
- Identify, track, and proactively resolve impediments that hinder team productivity and project progress.
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Champion Agile methodologies and best practices, driving continuous improvement within the teams and across the organization.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, fostering a culture of self-organization, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Ensure effective collaboration and communication between development teams, product management, design, and other internal and external departments.
- Mitigate risks and dependencies, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution and minimize project impact.
- Conduct thorough post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implement improvements for future projects and processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Asana).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with a focus on practical solutions.
- Experience with risk management and change management processes within an Agile context.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective global communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II) or other relevant Agile certifications (SAFe, PMP-ACP).
- Experience working in a global or multicultural corporate environment, ideally within Japan.
- Proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N2 level or higher) is a significant plus for team and stakeholder interaction.
- Background in HR Tech, E-commerce, or related digital service industries.
- Experience with scaling Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) in a large enterprise setting.
