Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging and culturally appropriate curricula for adult learners in various subjects including literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills.
- Deliver effective classroom instruction using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
- Assess learner progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and practical demonstrations, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and curriculum coverage.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment that fosters respect and active participation.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and KOSAME staff to share best practices, develop teaching materials, and coordinate program activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to adult learners, helping them set and achieve personal and educational goals.
- Participate in professional development training and workshops to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of adult education principles.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in teaching or instructing adults in a formal or non-formal setting.
- Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and tailor teaching methods to adult learning styles.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for empowering underserved communities.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Adult Education, Community Development, or a related field.

- Fluency in one or more local languages predominant in Kogi State (e.g., Igala, Ebira, Yoruba, Hausa).
