Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, user-friendly mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. As a Mobile App Developer at Voyager Innovations, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists to deliver robust and scalable mobile solutions. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, troubleshoot and debug applications, and continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and enhance user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms using relevant programming languages (e.g., Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and user experience.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with new mobile technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in either Kotlin/Java for Android or Swift/Objective-C for iOS development.
- Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to backend services.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App Store or Google Play.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
