Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor international and domestic shipments from origin to destination across various transport modes.
- Manage all necessary documentation for customs clearance, including invoices, packing lists, and relevant certificates, ensuring compliance.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and carriers to provide timely status updates and resolve any logistical issues.
- Optimize transport routes and methods to ensure cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Process freight claims, manage discrepancies, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistics activities, expenses, and inventory movements.
- Ensure strict compliance with national and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to align logistics operations with broader business goals.
- Utilize advanced logistics software and systems for tracking, comprehensive reporting, and data analysis to drive informed decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively contribute to operational excellence initiatives and strategic projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination roles.
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
