Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) for anomalies, security events, and potential threats.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems and applications to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure projects.
- Participate in security audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees across the organization.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements.
- Contribute to incident response planning, testing, and execution.
- Manage and configure security tools and technologies to optimize performance and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic SIEM, IBM QRadar) for log analysis and correlation.
- Experience with network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS), endpoint security (EDR, anti-malware), and cloud security concepts.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols (TCP/IP), and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a cybersecurity role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, GSEC, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of incident response methodologies and digital forensics.
- Prior experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Experience with security automation and orchestration (SOAR).
