Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Design and implement efficient data storage solutions (relational and non-relational databases).
- Integrate third-party services and APIs as required.
- Stay informed about new technologies and trends in backend development and propose their adoption where beneficial.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Spring Boot (for Java developers) or similar frameworks in other languages.
- Understanding of security best practices in web development.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
