Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Perform daily general ledger reconciliations and verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process and reconcile bank statements and other financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and data flow.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare various ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as required by senior accountants and management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
- High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Portuguese (verbal and written) is highly advantageous.
