Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures for clients across diverse sectors.
- Perform risk assessments and design audit procedures tailored to client-specific needs.
- Analyze complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and develop practical solutions.
- Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and technical accounting matters effectively to clients and senior management.
- Mentor and supervise junior audit staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and foster strong client relationships.
- Ensure timely completion of audit engagements within budget and quality standards.
Required Skills
- ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in audit and assurance, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
