Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, fire, or other disturbances.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and access points, and permit entry.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, reporting any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities and management.
- Write detailed reports of daily activities, irregularities, and significant occurrences.
- Ensure the security of premises and personnel by maintaining a visible presence and enforcing rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with emergency services during critical incidents, providing assistance as required.
- Provide basic customer service and assistance to clients, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
- Basic understanding of security principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement (even voluntary roles)
- Valid driver's license (Class E or G) for potential vehicle patrols
