This pivotal role will involve providing comprehensive legal support and strategic advice across various corporate functions, ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, and mitigating legal risks for our diverse business units. The successful candidate will be instrumental in navigating complex legal landscapes associated with our cutting-edge products, international operations, and innovative ventures in the ever-evolving consumer electronics and technology sectors.

You will be responsible for advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, intellectual property rights protection, data privacy compliance (both local and international regulations like GDPR and CCPA), corporate governance best practices, and supporting mergers & acquisitions activities from due diligence to integration. Furthermore, this role will involve managing dispute resolution, litigation support, and regulatory inquiries, often collaborating with external counsel when necessary. This position demands a proactive individual with exceptional analytical skills, a keen business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders, from engineers to executive leadership.

You will work closely with senior management, R&D teams, product development, sales and marketing, and other departments to facilitate business objectives while robustly safeguarding the company’s legal and reputational interests. The role requires a deep understanding of Korean law, particularly in areas relevant to corporate operations, fair trade, consumer protection, and technology, along with a strong appreciation for international legal frameworks that impact a global enterprise like LG Electronics. We are looking for a counsel who can not only identify potential legal issues but also provide practical, solutions-oriented advice that supports our innovative spirit, accelerates business growth, and maintains our competitive edge in the global marketplace. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal professional to make a significant and tangible impact within a world-renowned technology company, contributing to our mission of creating a better life through innovation. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring LG Electronics continues to operate ethically and legally, upholding our commitment to integrity and responsible business conduct in all our global endeavors.
