Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics partners to secure favourable terms and ensure service quality.
- Utilise data analytics to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions to improve supply chain performance.
- Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, quality control issues, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement projects, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Prepare and manage budgets for supply chain operations, ensuring cost-effective practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably within a large retail or FMCG environment.
- Proven track record of optimising supply chain processes and delivering cost savings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools).
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Deep understanding of supply chain software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
