Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the entire kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and adherence to storage protocols.
- Perform dishwashing and pot washing duties, ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cookware are readily available for service.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling materials appropriately, following established procedures.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours, ensuring all preparatory tasks are completed efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food handling regulations and guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with all kitchen staff to ensure a positive and productive working environment.
