Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate light trucks (e.g., pickups, panel vans, 3-5 ton trucks) for the transport of goods.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for timely delivery and collection of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Handle delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures.
- Assist with minor vehicle maintenance and report any significant mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Classes B, C, E or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional light truck driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Proficient in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for driving and manual handling

- Certificate in Defensive Driving
