Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify emerging musical talent across various genres, including reviewing demos and attending live performances and showcases.
- Assist the A&R team with administrative tasks such as managing demo submissions, maintaining an organized artist database, and tracking artist development progress.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings between artists, producers, managers, and the A&R team.
- Prepare and organize documentation related to artist contracts, licensing agreements, and project timelines.
- Conduct market research on music trends, artist performance, and competitor activities, preparing regular reports for the A&R department.
- Liaise with artists and their representatives to ensure smooth communication and logistical coordination for recording sessions, video shoots, and promotional events.
- Support the creation and dissemination of artist profiles, press kits, and promotional materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with industry contacts, including producers, engineers, booking agents, and music venues, particularly within the Witbank and Mpumalanga region.
- Contribute creative input and ideas to artist development strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor music charts and streaming platforms to identify potential breakthrough artists and genres.
Required Skills
- Proven passion and in-depth knowledge of diverse music genres, especially South African sounds.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- 2+ years of experience in an A&R, talent scouting, or music industry coordination role.
- Established network of contacts within the Witbank/Mpumalanga music scene.

- Experience with music analytics platforms (e.g., Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric).
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., isiZulu, Sepedi) is a plus.
