Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks, containers, and other vehicles using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Sort, scan, and stage incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Verify counts, identify discrepancies, and report any damaged goods immediately.
- Organise and maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (manual or electric) in a safe manner, if required and trained.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including inventory support and stock rotation.
Required Skills
- Proven physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling freight.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand instructions and verify counts.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar manual handling role (e.g., 6+ months).
- Forklift license (LF/LO) or experience operating powered pallet jacks.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanning technology.
