Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, and personnel as per assigned routes and schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of items, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects, damages, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the assigned company vehicle.
- Accurately complete logbooks, delivery manifests, and other relevant documentation for each trip.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Plan optimal routes to ensure efficiency and fuel conservation, avoiding traffic congestion where possible.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and road safety regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, vehicle mileage, and service history.
- Be available for occasional travel outside Abuja if required, with prior notice.
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents with utmost discretion.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class B or above)
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience in Abuja
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Proven track record of safe driving
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and understand maps/GPS devices
