Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, symptom review, and physical examinations as appropriate for telehealth.
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions virtually.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests in accordance with state regulations and scope of practice.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHRs) for all patient encounters.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards for nursing practice and telehealth guidelines.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize telehealth platforms and tools effectively to deliver seamless patient care.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong patient empathy.
- Comfort and proficiency with telehealth technology, EHR systems, and virtual communication tools.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically in telehealth or remote patient care.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with various electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and/or pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.
