Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of laundry attendants, ensuring high productivity and quality standards.
- Oversee the washing, drying, pressing, and folding of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Perform quality checks on all laundered items to ensure they meet the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Manage the inventory of linen, chemicals, and laundry supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Operate and maintain all laundry equipment, performing minor troubleshooting and arranging for repairs when necessary.
- Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to optimize laundry operations and reduce turnaround times.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and hygiene standards within the laundry department.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all operational shifts.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping and Food & Beverage departments to meet their daily linen requirements.
- Handle guest inquiries or special requests related to laundry services promptly and professionally.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on laundry activities, consumption, and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular inspections of the laundry area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a commercial or hotel laundry environment.
- In-depth knowledge of various fabric types, laundry chemicals, and cleaning techniques.
