Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, Firewall logs).
- Perform initial triage, analysis, and investigation of security incidents and anomalies.
- Identify, document, and report on potential security breaches and malicious activities.
- Escalate complex security incidents to senior analysts or appropriate incident response teams.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and refinement of security playbooks and operational procedures.
- Contribute to vulnerability management processes and penetration testing support activities.
- Participate in threat hunting exercises and forensic investigations under supervision.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies.
- Generate regular reports on security incidents, trends, and overall security posture.
Required Skills
- Fundamental understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP).
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and command-line interfaces.
- Familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts (threats, vulnerabilities, risks, attack vectors).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical reporting.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
