Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery van to transport goods across designated routes within North Carolina.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and carefully, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Verify accuracy of shipments against delivery manifests, collecting necessary signatures and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on routes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance checks of the assigned vehicle.
