Career.supersecrets is seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Photographer specializing in both events and commercial assignments to join our network of creative professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and our team to understand project briefs, objectives, and desired visual outcomes for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and execute photoshoots, including scouting locations, setting up equipment, and directing subjects as needed.
- Capture high-quality images that meet client specifications and artistic standards, demonstrating strong technical proficiency.
- Perform professional post-production tasks, including culling, editing, retouching, and color grading using industry-standard software.
- Manage and organize photographic assets efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of final images in required formats.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver all assignments on schedule.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment advancements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Events and/or Commercial Photographer (portfolio required)
- Expertise in photographic composition, lighting techniques (natural and artificial), and exposure control
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and lenses
- Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production
- Strong understanding of client communication and brief interpretation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations within Abuja
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus
- Knowledge of other creative software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Capture One
- Active membership in professional photography associations
- Previous experience working with diverse corporate and commercial clients
