Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort, categorize, and organize various incoming and outgoing materials based on type, size, quality, and designated destination.
- Perform thorough visual inspections of materials for any signs of damage, defects, or discrepancies, reporting findings to supervisors immediately.
- Safely and efficiently utilize manual and, if certified, powered equipment such as pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse layout.
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist diligently with regular inventory counts and stock rotation as required, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory integrity.
- Prepare materials meticulously for shipment or storage, including proper labeling, secure wrapping, and stable stacking techniques.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and consistently achieve daily operational targets.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with other general warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and safely throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and identifying a diverse range of materials.
- Excellent work ethic, demonstrating consistent reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Basic understanding and adherence to fundamental warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
