Job Description

Are you passionate about cars and eager to dive into the world of automotive electrical systems? Inchcape Motors Latvia is seeking a motivated and dedicated Car Electrical Technician Apprentice to join our expert service team. As an apprentice, you will work alongside our certified electrical technicians, assisting with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of complex vehicle electrical and electronic components. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior electrical technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults in vehicles.
  • Learn to interpret wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Support the repair and replacement of electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, lights, and wiring harnesses.
  • Participate in the installation and calibration of electronic systems (e.g., infotainment, safety features).
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Actively engage in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities provided.
  • Document work performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Required Skills

  • Strong interest and passion for automotive technology and electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles and tools.
  • Eagerness to learn and ability to absorb technical information quickly.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Latvian.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a vocational or technical program focused on automotive repair or electrical systems.
  • Prior experience (even informal) working with tools or basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with various car brands and models.
  • Basic computer literacy for diagnostic software use.
  • Valid driver's license (B category) is a plus.
