Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects.
- Gather and analyze data pertaining to labour, materials, and equipment required for projects.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate quantity take-offs.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes for materials and services.
- Maintain an organised database of project costs, bids, and vendor information.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and bid submissions.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
- Learn and apply company estimating procedures and tools.
- Participate in project hand-over meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to project execution.
- Support the team in research and analysis of market trends and pricing.
