Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company cargo van for timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, adapting to traffic and weather conditions as needed.
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring proper securing to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest documents, and expense reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions at delivery and pickup points.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed during non-driving periods.
Required Skills
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (or equivalent)
- Clean driving record (DMV report required upon request)
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience (van/delivery preferred)
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently
- Proficient in using GPS devices and navigation applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
