Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Hotel Room Attendant to join our dedicated housekeeping team in Riga. As a Hotel Room Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a pristine, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and order in all guest rooms and assigned public areas, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence in hospitality. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Replenish guest room supplies (e.g., toiletries, towels, stationery) according to hotel standards.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance department.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen closets, supply carts, and assigned work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Ensure all lost and found items are properly documented and submitted to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a positive, courteous attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning services, preferably in a hotel environment (minimum 6 months).
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, push, and lift for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Fluency in Latvian or Russian, and basic English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) for room status updates.
