Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services via telehealth to patients in North Carolina.
- Conduct virtual patient assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging, and communicate results to patients.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHRs).
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals for complex cases or specialty referrals.
- Educate patients on health conditions, preventive care, and medication management.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and telehealth guidelines specific to North Carolina.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and continuous professional development.
- Provide empathetic and patient-centered care, fostering a trusting virtual relationship with patients.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in North Carolina.
- National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
- DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable and proficient with telehealth technology and virtual patient interactions.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
