Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and energetic Laundry Helper to join the team at a prominent hotel located in Lekki Phase 2, Lekki. Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize soiled laundry (linens, towels, uniforms) according to fabric type, color, and required wash cycle.
- Operate commercial washing machines and dryers, adhering to proper loading capacities and temperature settings.
- Apply appropriate detergents and chemicals, following safety guidelines and product instructions.
- Iron, press, and fold a variety of hotel linens, ensuring neatness and quality presentation.
- Inspect all items for stains, damage, and quality control before returning them to storage or guest rooms.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, including regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking of laundry supplies as required.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and procedures.
- Support other laundry team members as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
