As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting initial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based counseling services to clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, history, and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized, client-centered treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions, offering support for issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic client care.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision, case consultations, and professional development training.
- Facilitate crisis intervention as needed and provide appropriate referrals to community resources.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice for mental health counseling.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution (or actively pursuing licensure upon graduation).
- Strong foundational knowledge of counseling theories and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications
