Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue) with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting, following established protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures under direct supervision, accurately recording results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing daily quality control checks and minor troubleshooting.
- Document all test results, quality control data, and equipment maintenance in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, universal precautions, and infection control procedures.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with senior technicians and supervisors regarding sample status, issues, and results.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
