Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including detailed history taking, symptom evaluation, and diagnostic interpretation through secure telehealth platforms.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions within the full scope of practice, adhering strictly to evidence-based guidelines.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and promoting patient safety.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating effectively with patients and their families to achieve optimal health outcomes and promote self-management.
- Provide thorough health education, counseling, and guidance on preventive care, disease management strategies, and healthy lifestyle modifications to empower patients.
- Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies to inform clinical decision-making and ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
- Refer patients to specialists or higher levels of care when clinically indicated and coordinate transitions of care to ensure continuity and appropriate follow-up.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies to ensure patient privacy, data security, and maintain the highest ethical standards of practice.
Required Skills
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Nevada (or compact state eligibility with ability to obtain Nevada license within a specified timeframe).
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or equivalent from an accredited board.
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (MSN/DNP) degree from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Proven proficiency in conducting virtual health assessments and utilizing various telehealth platforms and technologies effectively.
- Exceptional clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning skills for diverse patient populations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on empathetic, clear, and concise patient interaction in a virtual setting.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills in a remote work environment.
- Competency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and efficient patient management.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dedicated telehealth or remote patient care environment, demonstrating comfort and expertise in virtual consultations.
