Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation for experiments according to research protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments accurately and efficiently, following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record and maintain meticulous logs of experimental data, observations, and results in compliance with data management guidelines.
- Calibrate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory apparatus and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists in complex experimental procedures and initial data interpretation.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, quality control standards, and general laboratory best practices.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies, chemicals, and reagents, reporting needs for timely replenishment to avoid disruptions.
- Prepare chemical solutions, media, and reagents as required for various experiments and ongoing research projects.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of common laboratory instruments and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
- Contribute to the upkeep, organization, and cleanliness of the laboratory environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental design and results.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely.
